OverviewRTC Factory offers a hosted customisable IP-telephony solution built on a standard server platform developed by RTC. The platform is a complete, scalable, SIP-based and vendor neutral solution for Telecom Operators, Service Providers and System Integrators. RTC Factory’s IP-telephony services, RTC VoIP private consumer oriented services, RTC Access business/Microsoft Office Communication Server (OCS) oriented services and DeviceDirector for provisioning of services and devices, (described in more detail in the separate product sheets), are hosted in carrier class and secure premises. Local and geographical redundancies provide the Service Provider satisfying hi-availability VoIP services. Complementary to these services RTC Factory offer Click-to-call; a solution that enables an end-user to initiate a call between any telephone and a pre-determined recipient (advertiser). This solution is customer specific, built on top of the RTC VoIP services. It allows a user on a web page to initiate a call between any telephone and a selected recipient, typically an advertiser. An administrative system is provided to the Service Provider to handle subscribers, service and product offerings, pricing and logistics. The system is web-based and communicates with RTC Factory’s servers over encrypted data sessions. The consumer portal is a web-based system where the end-user can become a customer; a subscriber can sign in to a self-care area, "My Pages", or read about offerings, number porting and manage service functions and buy additional devices or add-ons. Via the consumer portal end-users can download and install a customised VoIP client RTC Zap softphone on their PC’s. An Internet Explorer toolbar is provided as an accessory for the RTC Zap softphone. The consumer portal is connected directly to the back office system in order to keep all offerings and prices up-to-date. Any physical order made via the consumer portal generate a wrapping and logistic process at the warehouse partner, allowing the Service Provider to focus on sales and marketing instead of delivering various adapters or accessories. RTC Factory offers integration of products and system components to functioning systems. And Integration of administration and provisioning systems with Service Providers existing CRM/back office system. Billing and any auxiliary service is registered and priced by RTC Factory’s administrative system. Export and delivery of these data allows the Service Provider to invoice the end-user and update accounting. ![]() RTC Factory collaborates with several outsourcing payment processors, if the Service Provider decides to outsource the invoicing. A pre-paid service is provided where the subscriber sign up for VoIP services via the included web portal. When a pre-paid subscription is created, the user is sent to a secure site at the payment processor for immediate on-line payment. When the payment transaction is completed the user can immediately start making calls. At any time the subscriber can log on to the secure "My Pages" part of the portal. There the subscriber can check the current call balance on his account. The pre-paid platform can insert voice prompts in ongoing calls to inform when credits are getting low. Recurring billing is supported. A key to success within VoIP is the ease of installation and use. DeviceDirector is a provisioning server offering the end-user simple activation, updating and configuration of softphones, telephone adapters and other equipment over Internet. Via DeviceDirector the subscriber gets also a standard phone number, possible to reach from any fixed or mobile phone in the world. RTC Factory has a long experience of service and a broad network with suppliers, and can therefore meet Service Providers requirements on accessibility, level of service and response times. The management organisation ensures that product upgrades are implemented and provides competence for further development of the system when new customer requirements and business opportunities arise. RTC offers a helpdesk, support, operation and management of running systems. RTC customer service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Service Provider. RTC Factory offers graphic services for customising web interfaces, softphone interfaces, documentation, advertising materials, packaging materials etc. RTC also offers VoIP Ready, a customisable interface where the end-user can test their connection to see if it is suitable for VoIP. This tool is included in order to contribute to increased quality in both the sales process and the customer follow-up process.
